Courtesy meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mahidol University
On 1 August 2025, Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) and ACSDSD team met with H.E. Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Director-General, Mrs. Chatvadee Chindawongse, Deputy Director-General, and Ms. Urawat Sukseandow, Director of ASEAN Strategy and Cooperation Division of Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of the Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Nopranue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships of the Mahidol University, and MUIR’s staff.
ACSDSD placed great emphasis on the partnership with Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mahidol University. In fact, ACSDSD and Mahidol University cooperate closely through the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of 2025, which has highlighted areas of cooperation on research and capacity building as well as youth and young generation through education for sustainable development. To move forward the sustainable development in ASEAN and to further enhance cooperation in future areas, such as net zero sustainability policy and practises and sustainable approaches to benefit local communities, featured the discussions and exchanges of views. H.E. Ambassador Chirachai Punkrasin, former Executive Director of ACSDSD, also participated.
