ACSDSD Holds Consultative Meeting with SDG Move, Thammasat University on SDG Collaboration

The ASEAN Center for Sustainable Development Studies and Development (ACSDSD), led by Executive Director H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, together with Deputy Executive Director Dr. Anthony Pramualratana and Project Manager Ms. Suchada Phruthonkul, held a meeting with executives and scholars from the Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move), Thammasat University, on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, at the Office of the President, Rangsit Campus.
The SDG Move delegation was led by Assistant Prof. Chol Bunnag, Director of SDG Move, Dr. Nuntinee Malanon, Deputy Director and focal point for the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Thailand, included Prof. Dr. Chanintira na Thalang and Dr. Wasin Punthong from the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University. The meeting focused on exchanging information on institutional mandates and exploring potential academic and policy-oriented collaboration on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially under Thailand’s role as ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development Cooperation.
Issues discussed include a Just Energy Transition; Green Enterprises; SDG localization through a Local Area Needs Assessment and transdisciplinary research that integrates knowledge, methods, and perspectives from academic disciplines as well as from the community and policymakers.

ACAI to join ACSDSD’s ASEAN Networking Symposium 2026

On 10 March 2026, ACSDSD Deputy Executive Director Dr. Anthony Pramualratana and ACSDSD Communications Officer Ms. Pakjira Numchaisombut met with Dr. Somsak Akksilp, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Active Ageing and Innovation (ACAI), to pave the way for collaboration ahead of the ASEAN Networking Symposium 2026. Dr. Anthony highlighted two key outcome of the symposium: the need for synergy across ASEAN’s development pillars and the promotion of best practices in ASEAN Centres collaboration. He also invited ACAI to participate in the symposium to discover synergies among ASEAN Centres. Both institutions agreed to integrate a people-to-people approach into ASEAN’s sustainable development agenda, and ACAI confirmed its participation, marking a step toward inclusive, people-centered sustainability across the region.
