Can palm oil enter the circular economy?

In the race to make palm oil production eco-friendlier, it has been discovered that its waste product can be turned into bioenergy. By being the largest producer of palm oil, there is a consensus in Indonesia that using a product that is usually considered as waste can prevent further deforestation and gradually lift people out of poverty.
