Our mission:
On 28 August 2025, the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) welcomed Mr. Jens Nytoft Rasmussen from the Danish Ministry of Environment–Environmental Protection Agency and Ms. Sirithip Kamonchanoktham, Junior Trade Advisor at the Danish Embassy, for a Strategic meeting on Sector Cooperation (SSC) under the Circular Economy Project and other potential long-term collaboration at the ACSDSD office located in the government complex, Chaengwattana, Bangkok.

This collaboration strengthens the circular economy and waste management in Thailand. The project will focus on Extended Producer Responsibility, improved waste sorting practices in condominiums and office buildings and improved municipal waste sorting and recycling. These activities will be promoted on the ASEAN Circular Economy Stakeholder platform, hosted by the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD).

Both sides emphasized on the way forward to best maneuver the project, especially on management and communication strategy for the first half of the project duration. Both sides explored ways to establish regional cooperation as well as to synergize with other projects, both existing and to be initiated. In addition, both sides exchanged views on the long-term outcomes of the project as well as the future scope of the project that may have a useful impact to start-ups, youth and young professionals and local communities.
