🎉 The ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) is celebrating its 6th anniversary!
Today (3 November) marks the 6th anniversary of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD)! Since our launch at the 35th ASEAN Summit in 2019, we’ve worked tirelessly to advance ASEAN’s shared vision for a people-centered, inclusive, and sustainable future. To commemorate this milestone, our Executive Director, H.E. Phasporn Sangasubana, reflects on our journey and the road ahead.

“As we mark another year of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), we reflect with pride and confidence on how far we’ve come this far, with purpose on how far we must go. 3 November marks the founding date of ACSDSD, officially launched during the 35th ASEAN Summit in 2019. Since our establishment in 2019, ACSDSD has stood as a catalyst to ASEAN’s shared commitment on sustainable development through the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and 2045 and the Complementarities Initiatives to a people-centered, inclusive, and sustainable future.

Our impact: ACSDSD hosted multi-stakeholder dialogues bridging ASEAN Member States and external partners on sustainable development policy consultations, sponsored scholarships and provide grants for studies on sustainable development and amplified youth initiatives, public-private cooperation and people-to-people relations development.

To go fast, run alone. To go far, we run together on this journey with partners within and beyond ASEAN towards achieving sustainable development. Together with ASEAN Member States, external partners and regional institutions, ACSDSD have advanced sustainable development, including our partnership in the ASEAN Circular Economy Platform towards green finance and energy transition to digital transformation, blue economy and climate resilience.

We remain steadfast in our role as a catalyst for sustainable development across ASEAN—bridging knowledge and good practices, strong partnerships with aligned goals and values, and effective policies for practical actions for generations to come.
