ACEF 2025 is driving and accelerating green skills, innovative solutions and investments through the ASEAN CE Platform and beyond
The ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) was honoured to host and co-organise with partners and successfully conclude the ASEAN Circular Economy Forum (ACEF) 2025, held from 16 to 17 October in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, under the theme “Accelerate the Circular Economy Transition in ASEAN with Green Skills, Innovative Solutions, and Investments.” 💻💵
#ACEF2025 served as a dynamic platform for over 500 participants to engage in dialogue in all levels to advance cooperation on circular economy, green skills, renewable energy and sustainable production regulations and policies aligned with the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and sustainable development. From local communities, women, and MSMEs, startsup to the government, financial institutions, academia and everyone that benefits from a circular economy; thus, the transition must be inclusive to all. #WeareCircularASEAN
On this occasion, H.E. Phasporn Sangasubana, Executive Director of ACSDSD and Dr. Anthony Pramualratana, Deputy Executive Director, had the opportunities to meet leading government officials, private sectors, entities and academic institutions from both ASEAN region and the European Union participating as ACEF 2025 highlighted priority areas for regional harmonized actions, showing how data, metrics and cross border trade mechanisms that can make circular business models across ASEAN. The private sector reminded us that markets respond to clarity, clear signals, shared standards and consistent policies that turn good ideas into regional impact. ACSDSD is contented with the commitment of multi stakeholders to in continuing the partnership to supporting the circular economy in ASEAN , especially through knowledge and capacity-building in of the ASEAN CE Platform.
