ACSDSD hosts the 9th and 10th Meeting of its Governing Council
On 23 January 2026, the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) convened the 9th and 10th Meetings of its Governing Council with the 9th chaired by H.E. Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand and the 10th chaired by Ms. Cheryl Leal, Director for Policy and Planning Service, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The meeting featured several important milestones, including the formal handover of the Chairmanship of the ACSDSD Governing Council, which symbolised the smooth transition of leadership and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to collective governance.
The participants witnessed the activity report of Thailand as the ASEAN Coordinator for Sustainable Development Cooperation and the report of ACSDSD’s activities and projects centered on sustainability agenda as well as its attempt and timeline to accomplish its Workplan 2026-2030. The Meetings reaffirmed the collective commitments to strengthening regional partnerships for sustainable growth and resilience.
