Building a Resilient Innovative, Dynamic, and People-Centred ASEAN: From Foundational Blocks to the GREEN Agenda 🧱🌱
Building a Resilient Innovative, Dynamic, and People-Centred ASEAN: From Foundational Blocks to the GREEN Agenda 🧱🌱
When ASEAN set out on its regional journey, ASEAN Member States together with the United Nations laid the initial building blocks through the Complementarities Initiatives (CI 1.0). By focusing on essential priorities—Infrastructure & Connectivity, Poverty Eradication, Sustainable Consumption & Production, Resilience against Climate Change, and Sustainable Natural Resource Management—ASEAN created the baseline stability our region needed to grow, while ACSDSD acts as the facilitator to translate words into actions. But as challenges evolve, so must our framework.
To bridge the gap between policy and real-world impact, ACSDSD as the regional catalyst is facilitating ASEAN to build upward with the CI 2.0 GREEN Agenda:
- 🟩 Green Finance
- 🟩 Resilience against Climate Change
- 🟩 Energy Transition
- 🟩 Effective Digital Transformation
- 🟩 Networking and Partnerships
By connecting ASEAN member states, external partners of ASEAN, and centers/entities/institutions in the region and beyond, we create an arch of cooperation that transforms shared knowledge into sustainable solutions across borders.
ACSDSD 2030 Goal:
To become ASEAN’s leading regional hub for sustainable development knowledge, policy dialogue, and multi-partner solutions.
At the heart of every block we stack is you. Sustainable development is only as strong as the communities it empowers. Dynamic, lasting change happens when people actively shape the future.
