ACSDSD Strengthens Partnerships through High-Level Meetings in Jakarta
During her working visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, from 30 June to 3 July 2026, Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD), held a serie of high-level bilateral meetings with ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN Center for Energy and ASEAN Dialogue Partners to strengthen institutional cooperation and exchange views on advancing sustainable development in the region.
On 1 July 2026, Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana paid a courtesy call on H.E. San Lwin, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) at the ASEAN Secretariat. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision (ACV) 2045 and regional sustainable development priorities through research, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and partnerships.
With ASEAN centers/entities in Jakarta, ACSDSD Ed met with H.E. Dato’ Ir Ts. Razib Dawood, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). The main gist of the discussion were to exchange perspectives on enhancing collaboration between ACSDSD and ACE and opportunities to advance sustainable development through cross-sectoral cooperation within ASEAN and to establish partnership, especially through the ASEAN Networking Symposium on Sustainable Development 2026 to be convene in Bangkok, Thailand.
With ASEAN Dialogue Partners, on 30 June 2026, ACSDSD ED paid a courtesy call on H.E. Lee Chul, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to ASEAN, to discuss opportunities to further strengthen ASEAN–Republic of Korea cooperation on sustainable development through the potentials of ACSDSD. In addition, ACSDSD ED also met with Mr. Ben Matthews, Charge d’Affaires and the UK Deputy to the UK Mission to ASEAN, to discuss future cooperation in promoting sustainable development and strengthening partnerships in supporting and aligning ASEAN and UK priorities for the next three years.
The visit underscored ACSDSD’s commitment to working closely with the ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN centres/entities and ASEAN Dialogue Partners to foster stronger regional collaboration for the benefits of the ASEAN Member States and to find effective ways in translating ASEAN’s sustainable development priorities into concrete actions under the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and Complementarities Initiatives Report 2.0.
