Gearing up for the sustainable development partnerships with the Mekong Institute

On 15 June 2026, Executive Director Phasporn Sangasubana, Deputy Executive Director Anthony Pramualratana and the ACSDSD staff welcomed Dr. Suriyan Suriyan Vichitlekarn , Executive Director of the Mekong Institute, to map synergy and cooperation between the Mekong Institute and the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue.


This meeting prioritises expanding sustainable development partnerships with sub-regional partners. Together, they explored possible collaborations on issues related to digital transformation, green agenda and community building through promotion of active roles of the young generation and local communities.

The meeting also discussed the ASEAN Networking Symposium on Sustainable Development 2026 that is a platform for ASEAN centres to co-create solutions for the green agendas related to energy transition, digital transformation and resilience against climate change. The Symposium is co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and ACSDSD in the last quarter of 2026.
