This shared vision emphasizes the importance of strengthening regional cooperation to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to build a sustainable, inclusive, and equitable future for all.
ASEAN’s Path Toward Sustainable Development
To achieve these long-term goals, ASEAN must redouble its collective efforts. The challenges of climate change, economic inequality, and social transformation require a coordinated regional approach. By aligning policies and fostering inclusive growth, ASEAN can accelerate progress towards sustainability while leaving no one behind.
ACSDSD: Supporting ASEAN’s Vision
The ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) continues to serve as a regional support facility, working to:

With the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, ACSDSD also recognizes the importance of updating the Complementarities Initiatives. These initiatives, which bridge the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, may require reassessment to ensure full alignment with ASEAN’s future direction.
