This important coordination meeting is vital in ensuring coherent coordination of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) in the monitoring of the ASCC Blueprint 2025 in a whole-of-ASEAN and multi-stakeholder approach, including with other ASEAN Community and ASEAN entities for the effective endeavours to achieve the tangible outcomes for the benefits of the region and its peoples.

To achieve and beat the 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals, ASEAN will work across all three ASEAN Community pillars—Political-Security, Economic, and Socio-Cultural to address the issues that will be the focus areas particularly in:

#Human-Centered Development – advancing the care economy, gender equality, disability inclusion, and safe spaces for the #BlueEconomy, #Health, and #CareEconomy.

#Sustainability & #Resilience – linking the creative economy, health security through the ASEAN One Health Joint Plan of Action (2023–2030), and boosting climate resilience.

ACAI to join ACSDSD’s ASEAN Networking Symposium 2026

On 10 March 2026, ACSDSD Deputy Executive Director Dr. Anthony Pramualratana and ACSDSD Communications Officer Ms. Pakjira Numchaisombut met with Dr. Somsak Akksilp, Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Active Ageing and Innovation (ACAI), to pave the way for collaboration ahead of the ASEAN Networking Symposium 2026. Dr. Anthony highlighted two key outcome of the symposium: the need for synergy across ASEAN’s development pillars and the promotion of best practices in ASEAN Centres collaboration. He also invited ACAI to participate in the symposium to discover synergies among ASEAN Centres. Both institutions agreed to integrate a people-to-people approach into ASEAN’s sustainable development agenda, and ACAI confirmed its participation, marking a step toward inclusive, people-centered sustainability across the region.
