ACSDSD Hosts Foreign Service Institute Director General Neil Frank R. Ferrer for Courtesy Call
On 23 September 2026, Deputy Executive Director Anthony Pramualrana welcomed the Hon. Neil Frank R. Ferrer, Director General of the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) Philippines, to the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue (ACSDSD) headquarters. Director General Ferrer was accompanied by Ms. Karla Mae G. Pabeliña, Director of the Center for International Relations and Strategic Studies (CIRSS) at FSI, along with their delegation.
The meeting covered strategic opportunities and operational challenges facing regional ASEAN centers, drawing from ACSDSD’s ongoing work in supporting sustainable development across the region. Discussions emphasized the Centre’s role as a neutral, multi-stakeholder platform and a catalyst for translating ASEAN visions into concrete action, with a focus on cross-cutting priorities such as human capital development and an inclusive energy transition.
Looking ahead, ACSDSD expressed enthusiasm for collaborating closely with Filipino experts and practitioners to integrate indigenous cultural values—including Bayanihan, Kapwa, and Utang na Loob—into the upcoming project on ASEAN Collective Values Beyond Boundaries: Translating Community Knowledge into Real World Impact
Both parties also explored potential synergies under the ASEAN Complementarities Initiative 2.0 (GREEN Agenda).
