Wind Overtakes Gas in France’s Power Mix Amid Slumping Demand

With the aim to cut the share of atomic power in France’s electricity generation, President Macron is trying to boost investment in renewable energies. In 2020, wind power overtook gas as France’s third-biggest source of electricity, which is behind nuclear power and hydropower.
